International Mathematics Olympiad

The Mathematical Olympiad Programme in India, which leads to the participation of Indian students in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is organized by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) on behalf of the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. This programme is one of the major initiatives undertaken by the NBHM. Its main purpose is to spot mathematical talent among pre-university students in the country.

The Science Olympiad Foundation organizes the SOF International Mathematics Olympiad, a mathematics contest. The purpose of the SOF IMO is to evaluate students’ mathematical abilities and knowledge.Students who enroll in the IMO can evaluate their level of topic knowledge and their aptitude for handling various types of amounts in relation to their classmates at the school, city, zonal, and international levels.The International Maths Olympiad not only offers pupils a self-evaluation tool but also a variety of medals and scholarships to the top performers..
