SKK International Social Studies Olympiad

The International Social Studies Olympiad is the world’s most anticipated educational event for math lovers from all over the world. It fervently sparks students’ imaginations and reveals their true potential.

It is based on the curriculum offered by the CBSE, ICSE, ICBSE, and other State Boards.

Registration of Students:

Students in grades 1 to 12 are eligible to compete in the SKK Olympiads. The SKK Olympiads will provide online sample test papers who subscribed.

Schools must deliver completed registration forms to SKK Olympiads by the due date. SKK will register the applicant school and its students in accordance with the Students’ Registration Form (SRF) provided by the school.

As well as registering the applicant school and the students, SKK will also send out instructions and question papers for the exam.

Each school is able to select the appropriate exam date for them.

Students should register through their respective schools. Individual registrations by students are not accepted.

Registration Fee:

SKK charges schools in India a registration fee of Rs 175  per student / Olympiad to cover the cost of the examination.

Students with significant physical disabilities are not required to pay any fee.

For other countries : 11 USD per student.

The SKK ISSO is held on two different levels:

The level 1 competition is an objective test taking 60 minutes that consists of 40 multiple-choice questions for classes 1 to 5 and 50 such questions for classes 6 to 10.

The question paper consists of three sections:

For Class 1 to Class 5

Section-1: Social Studies
Section-2: Achievers Section

For Class 6 to Class 8

Section-1: History
Section-2: Geography
Section-3: Social and Political Life
Section-4: Achievers Section

For Class 9 & Class 10

Section-1: History
Section-2: Geography
Section-3: Political Science
Section-4: Economics
Section-5: Achievers Section

  • The medium of the test is English.
  • CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
  • The exam is conducted during school hours.

Level 2: The qualifiers to second round would include the following:

  • Top 3 candidates for each class who appear for the first-level exam.
  • In case of a tie of marks, due weightage to marks scored in different sections will be given. Each section is accorded separate weightage.
